Landcruiser park day 2

We started the day with a big cooked brekky of bacon and eggs on breadrolls (cooked by yours truly) then we headed out to see the big boys doin their thing fangin it round in the water only to find that 2-3 cars was all that was left all of the others had broken their cars the day before. Here is one of them anyways:
I did get to drive a little both days and LOVED it. It was probably the most fun thing that i've done we don't have any pics but there is a small video so here it is:

Then after we left these guys we went and flogged it around a little more. This was going up a yellow incline which, given the low clearance of the paj we did quite well to get through. Needless to say Jason has already started planning the body lift and new wheels. Warning: footage is very shakey - it was almost impossible to keep it upright, i tried so hard though:

After Brads wrong navigation which lead us down the wrong way on day one i thought this sign was very appropriate:

The photo i took of the trail that this lead to just doesn't do it justice it was INSANE - I don't know how anyone could go up OR down it.

Anyway, I had an awesome weekend as did everyone there, and will DEFINITELY go back - would be great to do a trip with everyone including Dave and Mandy, Boof, Dad and Douggie. Its a fabulous place to go to with campsites set up or you can camp anywhere you like, can't wait til next time....

Camping at landcruiser park Day 1

So this weekend I went on my first camping trip with Jason, "Uncle" Pete and Brad. We went out to Landcruiser mountain park, which is completely designed for just for 4wd's. There are 3 different grades of trail you can try and conquer with green being the easiest and red being the hardest, yellow coming in between.

We arrived on Saturday about lunch time and proceeded to set up our tent ("uncle" Pete and Brad had arrived earlier and had set up their trailer etc). So here are some of the pics:

It was actually quite a task to put the tent up it took all of us quite a while to do it. Well, after we established our campsite, we decided to head out and try to conquer the mountains, we had so much fun - here are the photos:

These photos above were all on a yellow decline - the worst part was when we got down the bottom and realised that we had taken a wrong turn, the only way to get back was to come back up! This was quite interesting and scary to watch seeing as i have never done anything to this extent before. "Uncle" Pete just gunned it and got up rather quickly, we took a slower approach t0 but just quick enough to make it up the mountain.

We got the paj a little dirty:

Then no night with uncle Pete and Brad would be complete without a fire: (this is my favourite photo)
