The Fairmont

Hey everybody,

So last week Jason got a new car (the pajero) and as this will be his car of course i needed one too! There was a car up for sale on eBay which was an absolute steal - an awesome V8 fairmont ghia - with leather seats and woodgrain inserts and power everything. Oooooh, so nice.

It wasn't very far from home and even though it didn't have any plates we decided to drive it back. On the way i needed to turn right onto one street but there was a barrier stopping me so i turned left and had to go through a servo to do a u-turn. Only drama with that was that the local police were there and had just finished filling up. OMG talk about shit ourselves. As Jason drove past they were starin him down and he just looked away and acted like nothing was up.

Thankfully they decided that it was too much trouble to take it any further and just let him drive by. By the time Jason got home he was just about to pass out from the tension. And collapsed on the ground outside the car in the backyard.

Anyways here it is: its a 1995 EF series 2 fairmont ghia (and i love it)

Jason's new car

Hey,

This is the bargain car that Jason picked up on the weekend. A funny story goes with this car as to why it was up for sale. The lady who owned it was driving it one day when it made a loud pop noise and started to run real rough. So she got it as cose to home as she could (which ended up being a park about 1 minute from her house) and left it there for about the last 8 months.

So we rock up on Saturday to have a look at it and Jason starts looking around the engine bay to see what was going on and there he finds it - A spark plug hanging in the plug lead - all that had happened was when they last got the car serviced the mechanic didn't tighten the plugs up properly and it had fallen out while she was driving. So all it took to get the car running was to screw the spark plug back in and replace the battery. The battery had gone flat since the car hadn't been started in the last 8 months, so for a total cost of $110 we got the car going again.

So here are some pics of the bargain car which has been appropriately nicknamed "Sparky" (I came up with that name) Sorry - it is a 1994 Mitsubishi Pajero SWB 2 door.

Brunch at Dave and Mandy's

Well, today we got together at Dave and Mandy's for some brunch.

We had a great time with Elle, Rory, Hayden and Aurora. Dave cooked up a feast of pancakes with bacon and eggs!! YUMMO!

Took quite a few photos of the kids - they are just so photogenic, especially Aurora.

So here are some of the photos.

You can see the similarities in the cheeky smile!! :)

Comparing belly sizes - pretty sure Elle wins this competition by a mile right now. LOL

Such a cheeky smile!!

Aw, how cute they even play together!!

Picking your nose does require alot of skill - just look at the concentration on her face.

I think Aurora likes chillin with her uncle Dave. (And i think dave likes it just as much)

Hayden with the car that Dave had to dig out of the pool for him.

Always the poser - Mandy. LOL! (With her awesome camera in tow)

Shrek never looked so cute. And butter would not melt in her mouth.

Dave, I thought the toys were for the kids??

Well, all in all it was a great day and i really can't wait for the next one. Char - wish you guys were here to join in today!!
