Brisbane Airport

Well, last night i had the fun job of going to the airport to see mother as she flew from Mackay to Darwin - dad and i were just there to make sure she boarded the plane to get out of the state. LOL!
Anyways when she got in from Mackay i noticed that 2 of the Broncos players - Petro Civoniceva and Shaun Berrigan were on the same plane as mum. So as i was in complete shock and awe as they walked past me. It was surreal and awesome. Then they went downstairs to get their luggage etc and that was the last i saw of them.

So anyways we were sitting down, eating some dinner, minding our own business when Thomas, one of the guys from Big Brother walks past. And i was like OMG that was Thomas from Big Brother. And cos he walked past and didn't stop i didn't think anything of it.

So later on when he was standing about 5 metres from us on his phone i decided to try and take a photo of him on my phone. And being that it is only a phone and it is only a 2 megapixel camera on it i could not zoom it in far enough to be able to make out who he was and as such was disappointed. So mum suggested that i should just go over and ask him if i could take his photo but NO WAY shame, so i sent her over to do it. While she was over there i decided that Nah bugger it i wanted to talk to him too.

So in all my sickness ( I am currently sick with the flu) and rugged up in my work clothes and work jacket - it is my warmest jacket!! I walk up and say hi and mum suggested that i take the photo (as i am better at it) and as i take the phone off her to take the photo he suggests that "How about you jump in it too?" So i said yeah sure why not? And then this photo is what came of it:

Unfortunately it is a little shakey but it was taken on my phone don't forget. Then once again mum suggested that i take just a photo of him, so i did :

Mum and I spoke to him for a few minutes (he was just about to board a plane) and He was one of the nicest guys i have talked to. I was realy surprised that he was that nice actually especially after being in the public eye for a while. He could have been a total jerk and i would have expected that of him. But he was really nice. And he had a hacky sack that he got in Cairns that he had signed. See:

Anyways, that was my trip to the airport - a little more exciting than the usual.

Springbrook

Hi, Today we went to springbrook just north of the NSW border.
It was so cold but all the walking that we did sure warmed us up!!
But the view at the end made it all very worth it....

We went with Dad, Dave, Mandy and of course ourselves.

We stopped at a little cafe on the way up where we got Devonshire Tea - so pretty much a capuccino and a scone (of course it had jam and whipped cream on top)!!
Funny pic of dave:

I love candid photos!!

After Springbrook we went to some other place where you could see all the high rises of the gold coast. Where we got the mandatory photo together with the scenery in the background - cept in this case it kinda blurred..

That is what was really in the background.

And dad in his natural position..

So all up it was a fantastic day - albeit a cold one! Now this week i get to have all bar monday off so i can go out with dad and take millions and millions of photos of random stuff in Brisbane!

Can't wait!!
